Argon 18 Arseenic Cyclocross Frame
Argon 18 Arsenic frame is
specially dedicated to that increasingly popular discipline, Cyclocross.
Features:
Fork and rear triangle designed to work together on the
cross route
This frame and its
matching As33 fork are designed to work as a unit. They are made in Argon18
exclusive CNC machined molds using complementary materials, with the same
performance criteria in mind. With its aluminum steer tube and carbon fork legs,
the As33 is a reliable, race ready fork. The rear triangle design offers plenty
of clearance around the bottom bracket and brake to avoid mud build up.
Cross specific tube shapes
The top tube lower surface is flat for easier
shouldering on running sections. Asymmetrical chainstays for more clearance and
bottom bracket rigidity.
3050 HT Nano Tech carbon
Arsenic is a 100% carbon frameset. Argon18
tests has shown that 3050 HT carbon formulation offers sufficient rigidity and
ruggedness for cycle cross use.
AFS Geometry cross version
The Argon Fit System is an optimized cycle
geometry that facilitates rider positioning. AFS ensures: Easy positioning and
ideal ergonomics for riders of all sizes. Optimal handling characteristics in
all frame sizes. For the Arsenic, the AFS geometry has been modified to suit
cross racing; Remarkable: Bottom bracket height is 1cm higher than on Argon18
road bikes for increased obstacle clearance. Wheelbase is longer for an extra
measure of stability on rough terrain. Wheelbase measurement, per frame size: XS
(99.2); S (100); M (101.4); and L (102,6).
