There is an almost infinite variety of Carbon Fibres that to the naked eye all look the same, but have completely different performance characteristics. All of Pinarello carbon fibre bicycles use full monocoque construction as opposed to the “classic” type that is glued together. A monocoque frame does not use lugs that inevitably weaken and lead to frame failure. Monocoque construction ensures maximum stability, maximum reaction to force and maximum rigidity compared to classic glued or taped carbon fibre frames.
